Luxurious Shanghai Lady
30s Silk Satin Bias Nightgown!
- Bust 34-36
Vintage 1930's pure silk satin bias-cut nightgown. This is a couture
quality hand-stitched gown made during the height of 30's opulence. Silk
chiffon pin-tucked breast-cup inserts. Wide lace bands come to "points" at
center bust. The lace is re-embroidered with silk floss on net. Wide sashes
at the high side-waist wrap and tie in back. Hand stitched scalloped hem.
Made from the finest weighty silk satin charmeuse, this nightgown or
dress has a spectacular drape. You'll love
the soft and smooth feel against the skin. Sewn with attention to details,
the inside seams are finished with
hand-stitched, over-cast French seams. A luxurious and comfortable
nightgown and because it offers full coverage, can also be worn outside the
boudoir as a dress or gown.
During the 1930's, Master designer "Adrian", who designed the famous
bias gowns and robes for Jean Harlow, is credited for the fashion of women
wearing their lingerie as evening wear.
